RadioFrame Rolls Microchips
Redmond, Washington-based RadioFrame has introduced a new microchip that the firm says enables mobile base stations targeted at homes and small and medium sized businesses. The firm said that its new OmniRadio Processors enable low cost picocell and femtocell products for mobile network operators. The processors connect to GSM and UMTS networks and enable wireless networks. RadioFrame is backed by Innovacom , Nextel, VantagePoint Partners, Samsung Ventures America, COM Investments LLC, Ericsson Venture Partners, Ignition Partners and Nicolas Kauser.
