PowerTech Group Acquired

Help/Systems Inc., a publisher of business intelligence software, has teamed with investment capital firm the Audax Group to acquire the PowerTech Group Inc., a Bellevue, Wash.-based developer of security software for IBM computers. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The Corum Group Ltd., the firm which advised PowerTech in the deal, said PowerTech's product line will supplement Help/Systems' security software offerings. Audax, Corum noted, will work with management to formulate a growth strategy that focuses on international markets, new product launches and strategic acquisitions.
