PowerTech Promotes Patterson to Marketing VP

The PowerTech Group, a publisher of enterprise security software for IBM System i and AS/400 servers, revealed Tuesday that it has promoted Brendan Patterson to the newly created position of vice president of marketing. PowerTech said Patterson will report to Jon Scott, company president and chief executive officer. Having previously served as director of product management and marketing, Patterson will now oversee all of PowerTech’s marketing and product management activities, the Kent, Wash.-based business said. Patterson has been with the company for four years, PowerTech noted, adding that he has also held product management positions at GoAhead Software and Webforia.
