Expedia Adds Luxury Hotel Group

Online travel site Expedia Inc. revealed Tuesday that it has signed a long-term listings deal with the Jumeirah Group, a luxury hospitality management firm located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Expedia explained that, under the terms of the agreement, the group’s hotel properties will be available on all Expedia- and hotels.com-branded points of sale. In return, Expedia noted, the Jumeirah Group gains access to Expedia's global marketplace, especially travelers throughout Europe, Asia and North America. The financial impact and the actual length of the agreement were not disclosed. Expedia is headquartered in Bellevue, Wash.
