FEI Teams With German Research Group
Hillsboro, Oregon-based FEI Company, which develops high resolution imaging and analysis systems, said today that the firm is in a collaboration with the Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry, a German biochemical research institution. According to FEI, the two are collaborating on a correlative microscopy solution, targeted at acquiring high resolution transmission electron microscope (TEM) images. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, however, the two said that they expect to ship products based on the collaboration in the fourth quarter of the year. The new products is targeted at the analysis in the life sciences industry.
