Expedia Signs Another European Hotel Firm

Online travel booking agency Expedia Inc. revealed Tuesday that it has signed another European lodging firm to a long-term distribution agreement. Expedia said it will list all properties of Barcelo Hotels & Resorts for booking on its Expedia- and hotels.com-branded Web sites. The financial impact of the deal was not disclosed. Family owned and based in Spain, Barcelo operates 167 hotels and resorts in 15 countries. Nearly a week ago, Expedia announced a similar partnership with another Spain-based lodging provider, Sol Melia. Expedia is headquartered in Bellevue, Washington.
