INRIX Expands Services To Europe

Kirkland, Washington-based INRIX, a provider of traffic information and data, said today that it has expanded its services into Europe with a number of European partnerships. According to INRIX, it has expanded its coverage of traffic data in Europe, and has partnered with ARC Transistance, an automobile club; ITIS Holdings; TNO, and other organizations in Europe. The expansion will initially be available in 16 countries, with expansion throughout 2008 and 2009. INRIX said it would use GPS-enabled commercial and consumer vehicles, mobile phone devices, and road sersor information to provide traffic information in Europe. The deal also calls for the firm to provide its predictive traffic information to ANWB, the largest automobile club in the Netherlands.
