Extensis Takes Stake In Equilibrium
Workflow management software developer Extensis announced Thursday that it has invested in and partnered with media-processing software publisher Equilibrium. According to Equilibrium, Extensis invested $3.5M in the firm. Portland, Oregon-based Extensis said it now possesses a minority interest in Equilibrium as well as a seat on the company's board. The agreement, which Extensis' parent company (Celartem Technology Inc.) finalized earlier this week, will broaden Extensis' capabilities in the digital asset management space, the company noted. Extensis is a publisher of font and graphical content management software; Equilibrium is the publisher of DeBabelizer, a graphics processing and conversion software package, along with other tools. Founded in 1993, Extensis also maintains corporate offices in the United Kingdom. Established in 1992, Equilibrium is headquartered in Sausalito, Calif. More information »
