XsunX to Open Solar Module Plant in Oregon

Solar technology firm XsunX Inc. announced Thursday that it has secured a lease on a new, Oregon-based manufacturing plant. XsunX said the 90,000-square-foot facility is located in the Portland suburb of Wood Village. The Aliso Viejo, Calif.-based company said the building will host its thin-film solar module manufacturing operations. XsunX noted that it is subletting the plant from a high-tech manufacturer that had previously used the building. Though finalized, the contract still requires the approval of the primary landlord, XsunX explained, adding that the OK should come within the next 15 days. XsunX did not say how many people it expects to hire to staff the new plant.
