Microsoft Buys Rapt
Redmond-based Microsoft said today that it plans to acquire Rapt, a provider of advertising yield management software for publishers. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Microsoft said that Rapt's technology will become part of Atlas Publisher Suite, which is part of Microsoft's Advertiser and Publisher Solutions Group. Rapt is based in San Francisco, and is venture funded by Accel Partners and Levensohn Venture Partners.
