Isilon Expands Board
Isilon Systems, a Seattle-based manufacturer of clustered storage systems, revealed Tuesday that it has appointed two directors to its board—Peter H. van Oppen and Matt McIlwain. Isilon noted that van Oppen is a former chief executive officer and board chairman for Advanced Digital Information Corp. Before that, he served as president and CEO of Interpoint. McIlwain, who is currently a managing director with the Madrona Venture Group, will sit on Isilon's board for a second time—he served as a director from May 2001 to April 2007. McIlwain previously held senior-level positions at the Genuine Parts Co. and McKinsey & Co.
