Getty Images Confirms Hiring Of Investment Bank

Seattle-based Getty Images confirmed Tuesday morning that the firm is "exploring strategic alternatives to enhance shareholder value." The firm said that its board has hired on investment bank Goldman, Sachs & Co. as a financial advisor, and Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP as a legal advisor. The confirmation came after a report in the New York Times Monday that said that Getty Images is looking to sell the firm. Getty Images is a provider of stock photography, video, and other images.
