FEI Opens Shanghai Center
Hillsboro, Oregon-based FEI Company, which develops electron microscopy equipment for the semiconductor industry, said today that it has opened up a new facility in Shanghai, China. According to FEI, the new center--which the firm calls a "NanoPort"--allows its customers and partners to work with its specialists. The center is the fourth for the firm, which also maintains locations in North America, Europe, and Japan. FEI said the China location will house its products for providing ultra-high resolution and applications for material inspection and characterization. FEI's electron microscopy tools are used for nanotechnology research and other applications.
