Amazon.com Opens Up Q&A Site Askville.com

Online retailer Amazon.com announced today that it has officially launched Askville.com, a Web site where users can ask and answer questions on any topic. Amazon said that Askville.com, which had been limited to a select group of people since its initial beta launch last December, is now available to all Amazon customers worldwide. Amazon said users who answer questions on Askville.com earn Quest Gold, a form of credit that can be redeemed for $100 and $50 Amazon.com gift cards or Askville.com T-shirts and coffee mugs. The Askville.com site competes against services such as Yahoo Answers.
