RadiSys Buys Intel ATCA Assets For $32M
Hillsboro, Oregon-basd RadiSys Corp. announced Monday that it has agreed to purchase portions of Intel Corp.'s modular communications platforms business. RadiSys said it plans to pay a purchase price of $25 million, plus $6.75 million in inventory and other considerations. The assets involved in the transaction include: Intel's ATCA compute and packet-processing blades, ATCA chassis and Chassis Management Hardware and Software Modules; Intel's AMC module; Intel's cPCI blades and chassis and; and other Intel legacy systems products. RadiSys said the sale is subject to typical closing conditions and should close later this month. RadiSys Corp. manufactures communications networking and commercial systems components.
