Redfin Launches Developer Blog

Seattle-based online real estate brokerage site Redfin launched a new, web developer focused blog Friday afternoon. Initial postings, which are being authored by the firm's software developers, include information and code on finding a Web user's time zone, a discussion on blog software, and a comparison of Google Earth and Microsoft Virtual Earth. Glenn Kelman, the firm's CEO, said in a blog post that the only theme for the blog will be what "seems useful to share with others." The blog comes on top of the firm's existing, real-estate focused blog sites which discuss open houses, market trends, and other real-estate topics in the markets the firm serves.
