YourList.com Takes On Craiglist

Beaverton, Oregon-based YourList announced Wednesday that it has launched its self-titled local classifieds Web site, www.yourlist.com. YourList said the site will provide local job and classified listings services for some 945 U.S. cities and towns. The free service, which competes with the popular and well-established craigslist.org, allows users to buy, sell and trade in major classified categories such as real estate, events, cars and services. YourList said that one key distinction between YourList and craigslist, however, is that the company will charge a $15 posting fee for job listings. The fee, YourList said, should help keep the listings devoid of abusers, bogus offers and other scams.
