MIPS Expands In Oregon

MIPS Technologies announced today that the firm is expanding in Oregon's 'Silicon Forest' and will establish a new headquarters in Portland. The firm said that its new Beaverton facility will serve as headquarters for its First Silicon Solutions division, which has been in the region since 1998. The division develops system-level debug and development tools for embedded systems. MIPS is a provider of processors are cores for the electronics market.
