Avanade Signs M.D. Anderson
Seattle-based IT consulting and integration firm Avanade said this week that it has signed on the University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center as a customer. The firm will develop an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system for the center, for patient records and clinical research information. Size of the deal was not disclosed. Avanade said that it was tapped for the project after finding that commercially available EMR systems did not meet needs of M.D. Anderson. The system is expected to be fully operable in early 2007.
