Redfin Gets Personal

Seattle-based Redfin is getting personal in a new effort to reach out to its customers, saying in its blog that it has started to host informal get togethers in the Seattle and Bay Area for people to meet the firm's real estate agents. The firm said that it is launching the get-togethers because it understands the importance of face-to-face communication for many people. Redfin operates an Internet web site for connecting home buyers and sellers. The firm is backed by BEV Capital, Madrona Venture Group, The Hillman Company, and Vulcan Capital.
