Loudeye, Nokia Get Approval For Merger

Seattle-based Loudeye said last night that Loudeye and Nokia have received regulatory approval for their proposed merger. The two said that they received early termination from the waiting period under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust act. The firm has also obtained clearance in Germany and Italy. The proposed merger is subject to be voted on at a stockholder meeting on October 11th. Loudeye is a digital music distributor. Nokia announced its $60M acquisition of Loudeye in August.
