TriQuint, RFMD Exit Antitrust Waiting Period
In a further move towards approval of their big acquisition deal, Hillsboro, Oregon-based TriQuint Semiconductor and North Carolina firm RF Micro Devices said this morning that the waiting period required for the merger of the companies under the U.S. Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976 has expired. The completion of the period helps satisfy one of the conditions of the deal. The merger deal had been announced in February, and the two companies still have a number of other regulatory and approval hurdles to clear before consummating their merger.
