Seattle-Tacoma Among The Top In Online Job Ads
The Conference Board is reporting today that Seattle-Tacoma is among the metropolitan areas the the largest number of job ads per 100 people in the labor force. The group, which tracks online job postings nationwide, found that there were 3.66 job ads for every 100 people here, among the top metropolitan areas in the U.S. Seattle-Tacoma ranked above Boston and San Jose, but below San Francisco and San Diego in the study. Nationally, there were 1.63 online job ads per 100 persons in the U.S. labor force, up from 1.57 jobs in May. The level of job ads nationally was up 3 percent above the previous month, although growth slowed from a 4 percent increase in May. The Conference Board said that overall, the monthly growth rate in jobs has slowed, and it is sees signals of a weakening job market in recent months.
