Avvo Gets $3M

Seattle-based Avvo has raised $3M in a Series A round of funding from Benchmark Capital. The firm is developing legal services to help consumers navigate the legal industry. Avvo said that it will use the funds to expand its operations. The firm added Rich Barton, a venture partner at Benchmark capital and Chairman and CEO of Zillow, to its board of directors.
