Isilon Gets Win At Movielink

Seattle-based Isilon Systems, a provider of storage systems, and Movielink, an online video on demand download service, said today that Movielink will deploy Isilon's clustered storage system. Movielink will tap Isilon's storage system as its primary storage for its video distribution service. Isilon said that its clustered storage system replaces legacy RAID arrays, and that the systems would allow Movielink to scale their clustered storage systems. Isilon is backed by Lehman Brothers Venture Partners, Sequoia Capital, Atlas Ventures, Madrona Venture Group, and Focus Ventures.
