RootMetrics Acquired by IHS

Bellevue-based RootMetrics, which creates wireless coverage maps for the telecommunications industry, has been acquired by IHS, according to the two companies. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. RootMetrics provides coverage maps for wireless carriers across the U.S., providing signal strength and pinpointing holes in coverage for those carriers.
