Mentor Graphics Campaigns Against Carl Icahn

Wilsonville, Oregon-based Mentor Graphics is campaigning against a hostile bid by Carl Icahn, saying today in an "Open Letter To Shareholders" that it Icahn's plans to take over the company "could serious harm your company." Mentor's board has been fighting with Icahn over control of the company's board, after it rejected a $1.91 billion takover offer from Icahn last month. Mentor Graphics is a maker of electronic design automation (EDA) software and other products.
