Amazon Expands In Denver
Seattle-based Amazon is expanding its software and hardware engineering efforts in Denver, Colorado, the company said today, with plans to hire people for 400 new technical jobs in the location. According to Amazon, it plans to add 400 new jobs in the location in the areas of software and hardware engineering, cloud computing, and advertising. Amazon said it is opening up a new office in downtown Denver, which will help it more than double its tech workforce in the Denver area. The new office comes on top of an existing tech center in Boulder, Colorado. Amazon says the new, 98,000 square foot office will be at 1515 Wynkoop in the Lower Downtown neighborhood. Amazon already has more than 350 employees in Denver. According to the e-commerce giant, it has created more than 3,500 full time jobs in total in Colorado, when you count its customer fulfillment and retail facilities.
