T-Mobile Names New CEO

T-Mobile, which runs its U.S. operations from Bellevue, said this morning that it has named John Legere, the former CEO of Global Crossing, as its new CEO. Legere replaces interim CEO Jim Alling, who will return to his role as Chief Operating Officer. Legere also has served at Asia Global Grossing, Dell Computer Corporation, AT&T, and new England Telephone. T-Mobile said Leger has the "right skillset" to lead the firm, with experience in both the telecommunications and technology industry. T-Mobile is owned by Deutsche Telekom.
