Smarsh Merges With Actiance

Portland-based Smarsh, which develops e-discovery software, has completed its merger with another e-discovery company, Actiance, the company said on Wednesday. According to Smarsh, the combined company will continue to operate under the Smarsh name. Financial detais of the acquisition were not announced. The deal came through the efforts of private equity investor K1 Investment Management--which owns Smarsh--which acquired Actiance last year. The two said they now have a combined customer base of more than 6,500 customers.
