DreamBox Learning Raises $130M
Seattle-based K-8 math education software developer DreamBox Learning has raised $130M in a funding round, from private equity fund The Rise Fund, an "impact" investment fund managed by TPG Growth, the companies said this morning. According to DreamBox Learning, the investment will give The Rise Fund the majority position in the company. DreamBox Learning develops software to help in teaching math to students from Kindergarten to eighth grade, which is personalized to the learning pace of students. DreamBox Learning says its software is now used by 3 million students and 120,000 teachers in every state in the U.S, plus Canada, and it also has recently expanded to Mexico.
