Avalara Sets Estimated IPO Pricing Range

Seattle-based Avalara, which develops software to help automate the process of collecting local and state taxes, has set its estimated initial public offering price range, saying it plans to offer up 7,500,000 of its shares at between $19.00 and $21.00. The company, in a filing on Monday morning, saying it has applied to list as AVLR on the New York Stock Exchange. The company's IPO is being underwritten by Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC, J.P. Morga, BofA Merrill Lynch, JMP Securities, KeyBanc Capital Markets, and Stifel. Avalara's biggest investors are Warburg Pincus, Sageview, and Battery Ventures.
