Spaceflight Industries Lands Funding From Thales Alenia Space, Telespazio

Seattle-based Spaceflight Industries has received an investment from The Space Alliance, the joint venture of Thales Alenia Space and Telespazio, as part of a larger, $150M funding effort, the company said this morning. According to the companies, Thales Alenia Space and Spaceflight Industries are creating a Seattle-based industrial joint venture called LeoStella LLC,, equally owned by both companies, which will be responsible for manufacturing cost-effective, high-performance small satellites at scale, including 20 satellites for the BlackSky constellation. Spaceflight Industries says it haw now raised more than $200M.
