Nordstrom Buys BevyUp, MessageYes

Nordstrom said on Thursday that it has acquired two Seattle companies--BevyUp, a developer of a digital selling tool, and MessageYes, a developer of "conversational commerce" software. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. According to Nordstrom, it will incorporate BevyUp's digital selling platform into a new, integrated mobile Nordstrom employee app late this year. BevyUp's founder and CEO is Mauricio Cuevas; MessageYes's founder and CEO is Dave Cotter.
