Privateer Holdings Raises $100M More
Seattle-based cannabis investment firm Privateer Holdings has raised $100M more as part of a Series C funding, the company said on Thursday, bringing the company's total funds raised to $200M. The private equity investor--which invests specifically in legal cannabis companies--said it will use the funding to expand its existing portfolio of brands, make strategic acquisitions, and launch new ventures. The company is looking to tap into the huge new market that has appeared as a result of the legalization of recreational marijuana across many states. Privateer Holdings was founded by Michael Blue, Christian Groh, and Brendan Kennedy.
