Spaceflight Books Rides On Rocket From India
Seattle-based Spaceflight, which helps customers trying to launch satellites into space book shared ride space on rockets, said today that it has booked space for eleven spacecraft on a rocket from India. Spaceflight said it is preparing to launch eleven spacecraft on India's PSLV-C40 rocket, which is expected to launch in January. The payloads include a cubesat from fellow Seattle firm Planetary Resources, which is launching its Arkyd-6 6U asteroid prospecting demonstration cubesat in the launch. Spaceflight helps to arrange and integrate satellite payloads into the ridesharing portions of rocket launches from a wide range of launch providers worldwide. The company says it has now negotiated the launch of more than 120 satellites on behalf of its customers.
