Snowflake Picks Up $100M To Grow Bellevue Engineering Efforts
Snowflake Computing, a startup which operates a cloud-based data warehouse service and just opened up a new office in Bellevue, has raised $100M in a funding round, specifically geared at expanding its presence at that new office. According to Snowflake Computing, the funding round was led by ICONIQ Capital, and also included Madrona Venture Group, along with Altimeter Capital, Redpoint Ventures, Sutter Hill Ventures and Wing Ventures. The company has now raised $205M in total. Snowflake specifically says the funding will go towards growing its engineering team, with a "special focus" on its new engineering office in Bellevue. Snowflake's corporate headquarters are in Silicon Valley. More information »
