Report: Amazon Buys Harvest.Ai

Seattle-based Amazon.com has acquired San Diego-based Harvest.ai, a developer of software that uses machine learning and artificial intelligence to prevent data loss from enterprises, according to reports this morning. Those reports place the acquisition price of Harvest.ai at $20M, however, those numbers have not been confirmed by either company. Harvest.ai was venture-backed by Trinity Ventures, and had ariased $2.3M in funding. The startup is led by Alexander Watson, and was founded by other former employees of the National Security Agency (NSA).
