Amazon Starts Live, Prime Air Trials In UK, For Two Lucky Customers

Amazon.com said today that it has started trials of Prime Air in Cambridge, UK, to two lucky customers. Amazon said it completed its first delivery on December 7th using a fully autonomous drone delivery service, which flies below 400 feet and uses GPS tracking to deliver items weighing less than 5 pounds. The company said it hopes to expand the service to "dozens" in the next few months. Amazon showed off a miniature, antenna-studded "fulfillment center" which launches its drones and delivers packages to nearby customers.
