Microsoft Shuts Down Game Studio In Denmark, Cancels Game
Microsoft is shutting down a game studio based in Denmark, and is considering the shutdown of another in the United Kingdom, after cancelling a fantasy game called Fable Legends. According to Microsoft General Manager Hanno Lemke, who managed Microsoft Studio Europe, it has shut down Press Play Studios, a game studio in Denmark which had worked on Max: The Curse of Brotherhood and Kalimba, and is considering a shutdown of Lionhead Studios in the UK, which was developing the Fable Legends title. Microsoft said that "tough decisions" led to the decisions to the game cancellation and studio shutdowns.
