Physio-Control Acquired In $1.28 Billion Deal
Redmond, Washington-based automated external defibrillator (AED) manufacturer Physio-Control is being acquired by Michigan's Stryker Corporation, in a $1.28 billion cash deal, the two said this morning. Physio-Control, which was owned by Bain Capital Private Equity, had sales of $503M in 2015. Bain Capital acquired Physio-Control back in 2012, paying approximately $487M for the company. Stryker said the deal will help enhance its presence and infrastructure in the market, as well as expand its global footprint.
