Redfin Launches New Home Pricing Tool

Seattle-based Redfin said today that it has launched a new, home pricing tool, Redfin Estimate, which it says is far more accurate than other tools on the market. According to Redfin, it has the industry;s lowest published median error rate on its pricing of homes, to within 1.96% of the final sale price for homes on the market, and within 6.23% for all other homes. The company attributed its accuracy to better MLS data, the "plummeting cost of computing", and its experience as a real estate broker.
