Expedia Chops Staff At Orbitz

Bellevue-based travel site Expedia has made some big cuts at Orbitz, the company said in a regulatory filing this week, and will record approximately $130M to $150M in charges related to employee severance and compensation costs. The number of jobs cut in the move were not announced by the company. Expedia said the "headcount reductions" occurred on November 12th. Expedia completed its acquisition of Orbitz on September 17th.
