VOKE Picks Up Investment From Sacramento Kings

Voke VR, a developer of a virtual reality streaming technology with a major presence in in Pullman, Washington, has scored an investment from the NBA's Sacramento Kings, the Sacramento Kings announced this morning. Terms of the strategic investment were not announced. The Sacramento Kings said they will be using VOKE to livestream its home opener on Wednesday to fans using virtual reality headsets, as part of the deal. VOKE's technology provides real-time, virtual reality streaming of live events, giving a 180 degree view to users wearing virtual reality headsets. Voke has a presence and founders in Pullman, due to the ‏virtual reality research being done at Washington State University (WSU)--the company, formerly known as 3D-4U, was founded by two professors at WSU.
