Pioneer Square Labs Finds $12.5M For New Startup Studio
Seattle-based Pioneer Square Labs, a new "startup studio", announced this morning that it has raised $12.5M in funding, to help spawn more startups in the Pacific Northwest. According to Pioneer Square Labs, the funding was led by Foundry Group, and also included Bezos Expeditions, Greycroft Partners, Madrona Venture Group, Maveron, Menlo Ventures, MHS Capital, Sinclair Digital Ventures, Techstars Ventures, Trilogy Equity Partners, True Ventures, Voyager Capital, and Vulcan Capital. The startup was founded by a quartet of experienced Seattle technology startup veterans, including Gregg Gottesman, Geoff Entress, Mike Galgon, and Ben Gilbert. The company said an additional 50 angels invested in the company.
