Area360 Finds $3.5M For Mobile Location Services
Seattle-based Area360, the developer of mobile location technology, said today that it has raised $3.5M in a Series A funding, and set up shop in Seattle. The funding was led by Madrona Venture Group. The startup--which was started in New Zealand--develops beacon location technology used in airports, hospitals, and museums, which are used to connect content with the location of a user, down to three meters. The technology is being used to offer up information on art based on where a user is in a museum, and also for helping users navigate their way through airports. More information »
