Wave Finds $130M For Fiber Network Expansion
Kirkland-based Wave has raised a huge, $130M funding round to help expand its Gigabit Ethernet fiber network, the company said this morning. According to Wave, the funding came in the form of a corporate bond sale, which was led by Deutsche Bank and supported by Wells Fargo, Sun Trust, and RBC Daniels. Wave said it plans to expand its Gigabit Ethernet network with around 1,500 route miles of fiber this year in Seattle, Portland, and San Francisco; connect multiple fiber rings in California; expand its residential Gigabit internet service; and also add new services.
