Amazon Web Services Targets Educators

Seattle-based Amazon Web Services, the web services arm of Amazon.com, is hoping to introduce its service to both educators and students, with a new education program. According to Amazon.com, it will offer up free access to AWS credits for both faculty and students, to allow them to gain experience with Amazon.com's cloud service, via a new program called AWS Educate. Amazon said the program includes free AWS credits, web-based training and labs, online forums, and other resources and content specifically to teach Amazon Web Services to students.
