Blue Box Rolls Out On-Premise Cloud Services

Seattle-based OpenStack hosting provider Blue Box is expanding its suite of offerings today, adding a new, on-premise option for its service. Blue Box said it expects to roll out an on-premise version of its product--which can be hosted at the data centers of its customers--for general availability in Q3. Blue Open develops an OpenStack-based hosting service, which normally sits in the cloud. Pricing on the new, Blue Box Cloud On-Prem for Enterprises, was not announced. On premise, hosted clouds are attractive to enterprises who--due to regulatory or other reasons--are shy about moving their infrastructure into public clouds.
