Apptentive Raises $5.3M

Seattle-based Apptentive, a developer of mobile customer feedback tools, said late Wednesday that it has raised $5.3M in a Series A funding round. The funding came from SurveyMonkey and Origin Ventures, along with Founders Co-op and Golden Venture Partners. Apptentive said that SurveyMoney SVP Damon Cronkey joins the company's board with the funding. Apptentive is led by Robi Ganguly. Apptentive's in-app tools are used by mobile developers to run mobile surveys, ratings and reviews, and gather other customer feedback. Apptentive said the investment deal also includes a partnership with SurveyMonkey around technical and product interaction.
